digiDEM Bayern und seine digitalen Angebote für Menschen mit Demenz sowie Angehörige

digiDEM Bavaria and its digital offerings for people with dementia and their relatives

Digital offerings provide various benefits for people with cognitive impairments and their relatives. They are location-independent, available at any time, and can supplement and expand existing services, especially in rural areas.

The main goal of digiDEM Bayern is to improve the quality of life for people with memory impairments and dementia, and their caregivers. Therefore, digiDEM Bayern has developed various digital support services. These are aimed at those affected, their caregivers, volunteers, and interested parties. All services are free to use and based on the latest scientific findings.

For example, there's the caregiver traffic light. This anonymous self-test uses targeted questions to show informal caregivers the degree of their personal burden and can thus give them an impetus to change their life situation. Other digital offerings developed by digiDEM Bayern include the Dementia Knowledge Test, the online questionnaire for external assessment of memory performance, the hearing test, the Science Watch LIVE webinars including a media library, and our popular Science Watch newsletter.

In the webinar, the digiDEM Bavaria team will present all the important information about our digital offerings, their applications, and their profitable benefits.

With the webinar series „Science Watch LIVE,“ we offer an additional service to our monthly newsletter digiDEM Bavaria Science WaOkay, where we provide scientific findings from dementia research.

Against the backdrop of widespread half-truths and fake news, evidence-based science is in demand. It is more important than ever to communicate scientific findings in a way that is understandable to society and to promote exchange about them. As the digiDEM Bavaria project team, we want to contribute to this, now also with digiDEM Bavaria Science Watch LIVE.
