E-prescriptions, electronic patient records (ePA), or e-medication plans (eMP) – what challenges exist in implementing the numerous applications of the Telematics Infrastructure (TI)? And how are these applications being accepted by the public and various healthcare providers? To find out, the ‚TI Model Region Franconia‘ is testing and piloting the various TI applications with the aim of making medical care digital, networked, and patient-centered.
In total, over 100 different service providers, including nursing homes, hospitals, (dental) practices, and pharmacies, are involved in the TI model region in Middle, Upper, and Lower Franconia. The implementation of the ‚TI Model Region Franconia‘ is being carried out by a consortium consisting of Bayern Innovativ GmbH, the Medical Valley European Metropolitan Region Nuremberg EMN e.V., and Monks – Ärzte im Netz GmbH.
