The Science Watch LIVE Webinars are aimed at our digiDEM Bavaria research partners, all stakeholders in dementia care, health policy decision-makers, as well as volunteers and all interested parties.

Broad range of offerings

Our aim is to provide current and comprehensive information on all relevant aspects of dementia and dementia research, and to examine different facets of dementia from scientific and practical perspectives. The range of topics is broad and diverse, including „Music Therapy for People with Dementia,“ „Non-Pharmacological Therapy for Dementia - The MAKS Therapy,“ „What Exactly Does a Memory Clinic Do?,“ „Occupational Therapy for Dementia,“ or taboo subjects like „Sexuality and Dementia,“ to name just a few examples.

Expertise of colleagues

Since our first Science Watch LIVE Webinar In April 2020, the expertise of the digiDEM Bavaria team takes center stage. The colleagues provide well-founded reports on aspects such as „Volunteering & Dementia“ or „Loneliness & Dementia.“ They also explain our latest digital offerings, such as the Dementia Quiz, which has been available free of charge on digiDEM-bayern.de since June 2022 or the online questionnaire for Third-party assessment of memory performance. With the help of this special online questionnaire, those close to affected individuals can assess their cognitive decline, available on our website since the end of March 2022. Additionally, we invite top experts in their fields from all over Germany as guest speakers to our webinars.

We deliberately chose the format of publicly accessible webinars. A recent study from Flanders in Belgium confirms that digitally designed health campaigns can increase dementia literacy by, for example, imparting knowledge about risk factors for dementia development.
