The dementia research project digiDEM Bavaria invited submissions with digital solutions for people with dementia, caregivers, interested citizens, and volunteers as part of an open innovation competition. A total of 19 submissions were received, from which an expert jury has now selected the three winners.

Online nursing course
The online care course “Alzheimer & Dementia” from Töchter & Söhne Gesellschaft für digitale Helfer mbH is aimed at family caregivers and volunteer caregivers. It provides the most important information and practical knowledge for caring for people with dementia in their home environment. Course participants receive support for their own relief and are accompanied by an expert council that answers their individual questions on the topic of care.

Dementia Podcast
The free “Dementia Podcast” from medhochzwei Publishing House is released monthly with information for everyone involved with dementia. Each episode covers a topic and lasts about 30 minutes. The Dementia Podcast offers practical support for many questions from relatives, such as communication with people with dementia, leisure activity options, or legal matters.

Nui App
The care app “Nui – Your Digital Companion Through Daily Care” from Nui Care GmbH aims to make daily life easier for those in need of care and their relatives. For example, the app supports them in submitting applications, organizing doctor's appointments, learning care techniques, and offers personal advice from experts. Additionally, multiple people can form a network and jointly coordinate the daily routine of a person in need of care with various appointments and tasks.
