Tips and Tricks for Caregivers

Quick and straightforward help with specific questions or problems is important for relatives and friends of people with dementia to cope with everyday life. The app offers relatives and friends tips and helpful ideas for home or care facilities – even in advanced stages of the illness. The DemenzGuide also provides an easily understandable overview of the topic of dementia. The topics are clearly organized into different categories such as „Knowledge,“ „Encouragement,“ or „Time Out.“ The digital tool is easy to use and can be downloaded free of charge. The Protestant Altenheimseelsorge and the Department of Senior Pastoral Care at the Archdiocese of Munich jointly developed the DemenzGuide and presented it in 2022 as part of the “Week for Life,” an initiative of the Catholic and Protestant churches.
