Background
Therefore, the Bavarian Digital Dementia Registry (digiDEM Bayern), together with research partners and project assistants in all 7 administrative districts of Bavaria, conducts so-called dementia screening days. The free and low-threshold testing offer is aimed at people aged 65 and over who have noticed a decline in their memory themselves, or in whom close individuals have noticed a decline in their cognitive abilities. While the screening test does not replace a comprehensive medical diagnosis, it does provide initial indications as to whether further clarification is necessary and advisable.
